Castellon, is a Mediterranean City, on what is called the Costa Azahar. The city is located between the sea and the mountain range of the Desert de les Palmas. It is one of the most mountainous provinces in Spain.
The city of Castellon is a mix of the modern and the historical. Its old quarter is medieval, with buildings like those of the Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Clara, Plaza de la Pescaderia, which have both gothic and renaissance styles and modernist buildings such as Hospital Provincial, the Casino, the Main Theatre and Ribalta Park. Finally, there are modern day buildings such as the Posts and Telegraphs building and the Francisco Ribalta Elementary and Middle School.

Worthy of mention is the modernist architecture of the Casa Davalos and the Casa de les Cigonyes. Also, well worth a visit is the Casino Antiguo, which today is used for many public and private events.

With regard to business tourism, Castellon has the Auditorium and Palace of Congresses, which makes the city a meeting point for the staging of different events, whether of a corporate or cultural nature.
