In Badajoz, it is worth highlighting the Obelisk to the memory of Menacho, the Town Hall, in the Plaza España, the Giralda, the Carmelite convent, the Extremaduran and Latin American Museum of Contemporary Art, which is known as the MEIAC, as well as the Mudejar Houses and the Trinity Gate, among the many other “must visit” monuments.
First and foremost, Badajoz is a city of commerce and business. The main outdoor shopping zone in Extremadura is the "Centro Comercial Abierto Menacho”.
On the other hand, the largest conglomerations of companies undergoing a continuous process of expansion are located in the huge industrial estate of “El Nevero”. The construction of a Logistic Platform has also been planned, thanks to the close trading links with Portugal.
For the staging of events and company meetings, Badajoz has a wide selection of hotels catering for the business client. It also has the ”Manuel Rojas” Congress Palace located in the ancient bastion of San Roque and set in the city’s former defensive city wall. The work was chosen by the New York MOMA as one of the most representative buildings in Spain and since its opening it has not let up in its business activity. Another of the city’s sites is the IFEBA Trade Fair Park, which has spaces for exhibitions, congress halls and several conference rooms, all equipped with the most advanced technical and audiovisual resources.
BADAJOZ CENTERBuilt in 2004, the hotel is located in the main commercial and business area of Badajoz, very close to the Congress Palace and to 5 minutes of the old helmet. [..]
