Rome is a feast for the senses as it has been the cradle of such great painters, sculptors and architects as Michelangelo, Rafael, Titian, Caravaggio, Bernini…

The Italian capital can be divided into 5 main areas to visit: the Historic Centre, the Colosseum, Piazza di Spagna (Spain’s Square), the Trastevere area and finally, and the most well-known, Vatican City.

It is in the historic centre, close to Trajan’s Forum and just a stone’s throw from the Colosseum, where Rome’s business district is to be found, although professional trade fairs and large conventions tend to be held in “EUR” (Esposizione Universale Roma), a vast complex located 6 kms south of the city centre, or in hotels specialising in company meetings and events. The symbol of this architectural style is the so called “Square Colosseum”, the nickname given to the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, built by the architect Giovanni Guerrini.

The main airport of Rome, “Fiumicino” or “Leonardo da Vinci” is 26 kms southwest of the city centre. In addition to providing numerous domestic flights, there are also international flights connecting the main destinations both inside and outside of Europe, such as New York, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Cairo and Moscow. In Terminal A, the travelling executive can avail of an “Executive Centre”, where all business facilities are provided as if he were in his real business hotel.
